Awake
When i awake I see your sweet face,
And move the hair from your eyes,
I see you as you really are,
As no one has ever seen you before.
I touch your lips and realize,
That your not really mine,
It is some cruel joke,
Played out by God.
I stroke your face,
All I see is the beauty I wish I had,
That which is not mine,
But seems so real.
I touch your chest,
And feel your heart beat,
And suddenly i know,
You are really there not just a mirage.
I stroke your wrist,
Your pulse is strong and true,
Like the beating in my head,
That tells me to explore.
I lie there stareing at you,
The morning light a glow,
Your like an angel,
Perfect in every way.
If you wake I will run,
If you sleep I will stay,
For I do not want you to see,,
That which I desire.
What lies in sideis what I desire,
Your appearnce is wonderful,
However it is yoru inner beauty,
That is what i seek.
Humanity and laughter,
That is the key to it all,
Your smile and your jokes,
The start to what could be.
If you ever see what I see,
Then you will know,
What you have on the inside,
That is what brings me near.
Where are the words,
That describe what I feel,
They have left me for awhile,
In awe of what you meen to me.
